I like to tell stories and share things that I hope help you.

I love telling stories that help people live better lives.

When I was in 8th grade, my English teacher at Pennwood Middle School, Mrs. Stanker handed back my homework with one simple line scrawled across the top.

"Write what you know."

And for the better part of the last 30+ years, I have tried to do just that.

- As an author, the "Need to Know" books are a culmination of experiences (good, bad, and ugly) as a husband, parent, and communicator.

- As a speaker, I share insights, experiences, and learnings from a life lived at the intersection of serving as a senior level executive for two national healthcare organizations while also being the Dad of a child with significant health challenges and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

- As a citizen, I like to serve with not for profit and mission based organizations. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Backlight Productions, an orgazation that provides opportunities in the arts for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I previously served as Board Chair for Possibility Place - a day program that serves intellectually and developmentally disabled adults in Middle Tennessee. I have also led an organization that provides dental care to underserved people in Uganda, Haiti, and the United States.

My wife of 32 years, Annette, and I have three grown daughters - Madison, McKenzie, and Macie. We live in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
